What are you doing to express “intentional living?”  What creative solutions – your projects are you engaged in or have you heard about that you would like to spread?  What ideas do you have for future endeavors that would impact your community or world?

The Maitreya Project definitely falls within the world impacting category. It aims “… to bring long-term social and economic benefit to millions of people in northern India and sustained spiritual benefit to the world community.”

This project is carrying sacred Buddhist relics around the world to spread the message of compassion. Check out the response it is getting in the cities it visits. Many times people wait for hours, quietly, respectfully and contemplatively.
I would love to know how many people are participating in each city and how this movement is growing.

Request a visit to your city or see scheduled stops already for 2012/2013 in the United States and Europe.

What creative solutions – Your Projects would you like to share?

  1. Every word in this piece of work is very clear and your passion for this topic shines. Please continue your work in this area and I hope to see more from you in the future.

  2. Re-Azile:
A project that I’m involved with is Amnesty International (AI) – Des Moines Chapter. This past Wednesday a speaker came to share about a project that our AI group supported, an Out Reach International medical mission to Tanzania that focuses on the small villages that lack medical care. The needs are so great in this part of Africa. Our group provided money to help with clean birth kits – so many women in this part of the world give birth at home and need supplies to make this safe.
One thing I love about AI is that it shows how small actions of many people add up to positive change. As you likely know, AI is involved with writing letters promoting the civil and human rights of people unjustly imprisoned. It has been found that the act of writing and sending letters and petitions has made positive changes.

  3. Thank you so much Bridget:
The more we know about projects happening in your/our area, the better chance we can find people called to support them. I have a song I wrote which is one of my favorites about a waterfall. When you reflect upon the beauty of the waterfall it is magnificent and powerful. But isn’t it just made up of single droplets that may appear insignificant? Couldn’t we say that people can be seen the same way? Alone they may feel powerless but banded together they may create extraordinary things. And here is the paradox. Aren’t Drops of water to a dying thirsty man a lifesaver? And so individually aren’t we equally vital? Bridget, I know you tremendously impact the community you live in. Any organization, group, community is lucky to have you. What are your dreams? I invite you to share them under “You Re-Aziling” or “Your Visions” and then celebrate them with us as they are completed. You will find a section “Your Dreams Rea-lized” on the home page under a bigger heading. In this way we can support and encourage each other along the way. Celebrate your efforts now and dream! Azile

  4. After exploring a number of the articles on your web page, I truly appreciate your way of blogging. I book marked it to my bookmark site list and will be checking back in the near future. Please check out my web site too and tell me what you think.

  5. May I simply just say what a relief to discover a person that genuinely understands what they are discussing on the net. You definitely understand how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More people need to check this out and understand this side of the story. I was surprised that you’re not more popular given that you surely have the gift.

  6. I checked your website out and sometimes it pulls up that article about “coffee” and sometimes it pulls up another main page. Just to give you some constructive feedback, I am not sure what website is about. When I went to “About page” it was not clear to me. Is it about AlBundy on Married with Children or coffee or …. ? It may be a work in progress so I am just giving you my initial impression? Azile
